Introducing the first Community Classic 18-hole Ambrose Event hosted and presented by Moore Park Golf. Enjoy a day out with mates, colleagues and friends in a team-based Ambrose competition playing all 18 holes at Moore Park Golf. Get the gang together and enjoy a fun day of friendly competition, super fun novelty holes and good times on the green! With activations and prizes from Red Bull, TaylorMade and Callaway make sure to book in your team quick, these spots won’t last long.

Format: 4-person Ambrose handicap (72 players per session)
Morning shotgun start: 7:30am
Afternoon shotgun start: 12:30pm
Cost: $165 per person

Novelty holes
This isn’t your regular Ambrose event, there will be a bunch of fun activations throughout the course to enjoy, compete and put some fun into the day!
Hole 1 – Straightest Drive: Players are to measure the distance from the centre spray painted line on the fairway and their ball) smallest measurement wins!
Hole 2 – Nearest To The Pin
Hole 5 – Spin the wheel: 1 player to spin the wheel, whatever club it lands on, all players must use that club. A pop-up bar will be setup on this hole for pit stop refreshments.
Hole 6 – Eagle’s Nest: Players hitting their 2nd shot on the par 5, 6th green, will receive an instant prize if their ball is inside a zone on the green (The Eagles Nest)
Hole 10 – Hole-in one prize
Hole 11 – Longest Drive
Hole 13 – Nearest To The Pin
Hole 14 – Hickory Challenge: All players must tee-off using one of the Moore Park Golf Historic Hickory clubs
Hole 16 – Multi-Cup Hole: For this hole, there will be 5 holes cut into the green – one central hole will be a bonus hole and if the ball goes in this one, get -1 off your teams score!
Hole 17 – Speed Hole: Players select 1 player to tee off, once they have tee’d off, all players must race to finish the hole – once the ball is in the hole, players must raise hands in the air to signal to the tee box staff they have finished. The quickest time will receive a prize at the post-round presentation.

How do I register a team?
You can register as a team of 4, or join an existing team if you’re looking to meet new people. When purchasing tickets, you’ll be able to see which teams have spots available.
👉 If you want to play with friends, make sure you all register under the same team letter.

What time does the event start?
For the morning session:
- 6:30am: Check-in opens (B&E rolls available)
- 7:10am: Check-in closes + event briefing
- 7:30am: Shotgun start
- 11:45am: Play finishes
- 12:00pm: Lunch served
Can I play in the afternoon instead?
Yes — an afternoon 12:30pm shotgun start session is also available. Check the ticketing page for availability.
How are starting holes assigned?
Starting holes are randomly allocated one week prior to the event. You’ll still play within the team you registered with.
What information do I need to register?
If you’re booking for yourself or teammates, please have the following ready:

- Handicap details (or an estimated handicap)
- Dietary requirements
Do I need an official handicap?
No — if you don’t have one, just provide your best estimate. Alternatively, you can use the maximum:
- 18 for men
- 27 for women
Will photos or videos be taken on the day?
Yes — content will be captured for marketing purposes. If you’d prefer not to be featured, simply let our team know on the day and you’ll be given a wristband.
How many tickets can I purchase?
